It is very important to study all the features of the computer if you own one. It is beneficial in a number of ways. First of all, you can easily detect the problem if there is any change in its functioning. Secondly it becomes easier for you to access the computer and thirdly, it increases your information in this field which will never go in vain. There is an inevitable connection between the memory and the hard drive of the computer. Any problem in one of them, affects the other directly. If you are not aware of this fact, please consider the information that follows.

The computer storage system, commonly known as the memory of the system, is the component of the computer that retains the data that is used for computing in any duration of time. There is another storage component of the computer known as Random Access Memory. This memory recovers the loss of data in specific situations such as when there is a sudden shut down of the system and so on.

Similarly, hard drives of the computer can be classified into two categories. Hard disk drive is first on the list. The direct connection between the memory and hard drive is that it stores and plays it when it gets permission to do so. The main difference between the hybrid drive and hard disk drive is that the platform of the former cannot be rotated as that of the latter one. Thus, it is wiser to get the hybrid drive as it has more memory capacity than the hard drive, it consumes less power, generates lesser heat and works with greater efficiency.

If we talk about the relationship between the memory and hard drive, whether it is hybrid or a hard drive, the capacity of storing and recording data is much higher than that of the rigid floppy disks. However, they were specifically developed to be used in the computer thus, can store and transmit data at a very high rate. The size of the hard drive is measured in inches. In desktop computers, their size is about 3.5 inches wide while in notebook computers, it is about 1 inch less. That is why, it is said that laptops have less memory than desktop computers.

Now, it must be clear to you that the memory and the hard drives of the computer have a close connection with each other. For your sake, we would like to tell you that hybrid hard drives are better, as it has more memory storage capacity and has a less chance of wear and tear. So, next time, when your computer faces any memory related problem, check out your hard drive first to see if that is where the problem stems from.
